Your First REVOsafe Mow: A Simple Startup Guide

Making the switch from conventional metal mower blades to the REVOsafe™ REVO6 2.0 system introduces a different approach to mowing. While the system is designed for straightforward installation and operation, taking a few minutes before your first mow can help you achieve the best possible experience.

Verify Your Installation

Before starting your mower, verify that each REVO6 2.0 hub and the appropriate spacer are correctly installed and secured according to your mower manufacturer's torque specifications.

Check that your REVOline cutting elements are properly inserted and seated in the REVO6 hub.

Check Your Clearance

Before engaging the mower, rotate the system manually while the mower is safely shut down and verify adequate clearance around the mower deck.

We recommend approximately 1/2" of clearance between the REVOline and mower deck.

Start at a Lower Throttle

REVOsafe does not require immediately engaging the mower at full throttle.

Begin at approximately 1/4 to 1/2 throttle, engage the mower, allow the REVO6 system to stabilize, and then increase to your normal operating speed.

Begin Around a 3.5-Inch Cutting Height

For your first mow, we recommend starting at approximately a 3.5" cutting height.

Every lawn and mowing environment is different. Once you see how the system performs with your grass, terrain, and conditions, adjust the cutting height higher or lower to achieve your preferred result.

Know Your REVOline System

Each REVO6 2.0 hub is designed to operate with six REVOline cutting elements.

If a line becomes damaged or is lost during mowing, you do not necessarily need to stop immediately. The system can continue operating with a minimum of three properly installed REVOline cutting elements per hub.

Regularly inspect your REVOline and replace worn or damaged cutting elements as necessary.

Give Yourself Time to Learn the System

REVOsafe is intentionally different from a conventional sharpened metal mower blade.

Your first mow is an opportunity to become familiar with the system, determine the appropriate cutting height for your property, and learn how REVOsafe performs under your individual mowing conditions.
